Anti- APT -symmetric Kerr gyroscope

Non-Hermitian systems can exhibit unconventional spectral singularities called exceptional points (EPs). Various EP sensors have been fabricated in recent years, showing strong responses to external signals. Here we propose how achieve a nonlinear anti-parity-time ( A mathvariant="script">P mathvariant="script">T ) gyroscope by spinning an optical resonator. We show that, the absence of any nonlinearity, sensitivity or mode splitting linear device be magnified up 3 orders compared that conventional without EPs. Remarkably, symmetry broken when including Kerr nonlinearity materials and, as result, detection threshold significantly lowered, i.e., much weaker rotations which are well beyond ability now detected with device. Our work shows powerful gyroscopes practice ultrasensitive rotation measurement.
